This is the second year I have started my Holiday shopping early, and I have to tell you – it’s absolutely worth it! Not sure if you’re ready? Here’s five reasons why its a great idea to start shopping NOW and not later… (and yes I realize its only a few days after Halloween!!)
The Selection
Have you ever tried to shop for someone a few days before Christmas? I know I waited until the last minute one year, and the good candle scents were gone, stocking stuffers were picked over, and tons of sizes were gone too! If you start nearly 1.5 months out, the stores are fully stocked with the best stuff so that you can take advantage of being the best gift giver! Luckily for me, the Grove City Outlets were still playing holiday music and decorated, but all the stores were fully stocked, I wasn’t fighting the crowds for a parking spot, and the overall experience was great! Here are some tips for shopping early this Holiday Season.
Beat the Rush
Listen, from Thanksgiving to Christmas I avoid the mall like the plague; I will only go first thing in the morning or within an hour of close because I honestly get anxiety from the crowds! When I went shopping at Grove City Outlets this past weekend, I had no problems finding a parking spot, grabbing a drink at Starbucks, and walked right into the dressing room for some try-ons! I don’t think that would be the case if I waited a few more weeks.
Space out your Spending
Do you really want to drop $1000 right before Christmas? Probably not! Especially because there will always be a last minute thing to pick up before Christmas dinner, or you may be going to a Christmas play, a new Christmas exhibit, and it all costs money! When you start early, you can space out your spending which your bank account will definitely thank you for. No one wants to take a huge hit right before the end of the year.
More time to find the best gift!
Just because you start your shopping early doesn’t mean you have to get every gift on your first trip! If you can’t find your sister the perfect holiday sweater because her favorite color isn’t in stock, you can absolutely wait and shop around at other stores or you also have time to order online! By shopping early, you leave yourself with tons of options.
Time to RELAX
I know once my decorations are up, it’s snowing outside, and Hallmark movies are on – there is ONE place I want to be – and that is cozied up on the couch with a Holiday cocktail! With my shopping done early, I have time to actually enjoy the season!
On my trip to Grove City Outlets to take advantage of the above, I found some great holiday gift ideas from Banana Republic Factory Outlet, Yankee Candle, Old Navy Outlet, and the Gap Outlet – you can download the digital gift guide when you text GIFT235 to 74666 for Grove City Premium Outlets or check out here to get the coupons! The coupon is good until November 17th!
