Happy weekend friends! I love this post because it’s a DIY and it’s a NEW kind of DIY for me! How to throw a Holiday Brunch – DIY style!
I got together with some of my favorite blogger babes – Caitlin ( https://caitlinlambert.squarespace.com/gingerandgrae) and Marah (http://marahfrank.com) & Victoria (http://coffeeandablonde.blogspot.com) was nice enough to host us for this beautiful brunch.
This brunch theme was boho themed and brought a mix of fresh + store bought items. It was classic and rustic and so pretty.
The food for this brunch was super easy! Think baked goods, waffles, and a donut tower. For a fun holiday twist, the waffles were gingerbread flavored and with just a hint of powder sugar & they look so festive! Also, picking foods like a chocolate bundt cake and pizelles look so fancy but are super simple! My favorite part of course was the donut tree; it’s a super easy DIY that you can easily make yourself with donut holes, a foam tree from the craft store, and toothpicks. We kept beverages simple with a little twist – hot chocolate with a hint of peppermint schnapps – bc c’mon, brunches aren’t complete with a little booze!
We really wanted to keep things fresh and festive. We picked up fresh greens (which you can get at Home Depot or Trader Joe’s – or even your own backyard!) We added touches of pine throughout the food and even as an accent on the napkins. Cinnamon sticks and twine completed decor.
This is the best part right? When I dress for the holidays, I love rich tones and rich fabrics – like velvet of course. These babes all brought their own style to the brunch which is perfect. Marah and I both wore velvet, and Victoria kept it classic with black and white. Caitlin wore a beautiful blazer and hints of black and white too and the cutest tie. My velvet dress was only $8.40. Don’t worry about being overdressed for a brunch! It brings a fun element!
I hope we inspired you to host your own brunch this Holiday ❤️.
