I just got back from such a fun event that Marah (a fellow Pittsburgh blogger!) put together at the Candle Lab Pittsburgh. Have you all ever heard of the Candle Lab? It’s a store where you get to make a custom candle. They have something like 120 fragrances to choose from, and you pick a few scents that you love, mix the scents, pour the wax, etc. I love the idea, and with a pop-up shop from two local businesses + wine / macaroons, you really can’t go wrong! Plus I absolutely love connecting with my local girl bosses, so it was amazing to see familiar faces + meet a few new ones too!
Anyways, I was absolutely so unsure about this slip dress I saw at Nordstrom Rack. But sometimes, once I see the original price + the sale price, I get swayed into buying the item. This is exactly what happened with this black satin slip dress – totally unsure of the fit + how I would style it, but at $7.50 (with an original price of almost $100) I decided to get it! I’m so glad I did because once I purchased these beautiful booties from Gabe’s (originally from Betsey Johnson!) I knew I had a cute outfit for the fall! I also paired it with this white leather jacket, also an amazing find at Gabe’s (originally from Express) for $19.99. The whole look is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I have to admit, I really like the final look!
